SVQ in Controlling Lifting Operations: Planning Lifts (Construction) Level 4

Description

To attain the Level 4 SVQ qualification in the candidate’s chosen skilled trade, this award enables the candidate to apply for the CPCS Competent Operator Card (Blue Card).

Who Should Attend?

Candidates must have:

Passed the CSCS Health & Safety Test within the last 24 months.
A current valid CPCS Trained Operative Card (RED CARD).

Only those meeting these criteria are eligible to begin this VQ.

Plan Lifting Activities
Plan and Establish Safety, Health, Welfare and Environmental Systems for Lifting Operations
Plan Work Activities and Resources to Meet Project Requirements
Evaluate and Confirm Work Methods
Plan the Preparation of the Site for the Project
Identify, Allocate and Plan the Deployment and Use of Plant, Equipment, or Machinery

Knowledge

SVQ Qualification Requirements

This SVQ qualification requires candidates to demonstrate their competence against a set of performance statements in a real workplace environment. Candidates will be assessed by an occupationally competent and qualified assessor, who will support them throughout the SVQ programme.

Upon successful completion, candidates will be eligible to apply for the CPCS Card (Blue Competent Operator Card).
