The Abrasive Wheels Safety Training course is designed to provide candidates with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely mount, operate and maintain abrasive wheels & associated equipment. This comprehensive course covers the legal requirements, safety procedures, and best practice to be employed whilst using abrasive wheels. Participants will gain a thorough understanding of the hazards associated with abrasive wheels and learn how to mitigate the risks by implementing suitable handling, storage, and usage techniques and wearing the correct PPE.

Selection and Use of Abrasive Wheels:
- Different types of abrasive wheels and their uses
- Selecting the correct wheel for the task
- Safe handling, transport and storage

- Maintenance and replacement guidelines
Mounting:
- Wheel selection
- Correct mounting procedures
- Ensuring secure and stable installation

Qualifications Obtained

Participants will be assessed through a combination of practical exercises and a multiple-choice test. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Bridgend Training certificate of competency in Abrasive Wheels Safety, valid for 3 years.
