Asbestos Awareness

Description

The Asbestos Awareness course covers the basin format of the content recommended in Health & Safety ACOP Publication L143

Who Should Attend?

This course includes but is not limited to

  • History and properties of asbestos and its effects on health
  • Types, typical uses and applications for asbestos and where this may likely be found
  • Avoidance of risk of exposure
  • Procedure in the event of an asbestos exposure

Course Content

The course lasts around 3-4 hours depending on the group size

Knowledge

A good understanding of spoken, reading, and writing English.

Qualifications Obtained

Participants will be assessed through a combination of practical exercises and a written test. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of competency in Asbestos Awareness.

Entry Requirements

We will carry out a profile assessment to determine the duration of training required for those with limited or no experience.

Location

Training can be conducted onsite or at the Bridgend Training Facility.
