SVQ in Controlling Lifting Operations: Supervising Lifts (Construction) Level 3

Description

This is an assessment qualification. To attain the Level 3 SVQ qualification in the candidate’s chosen skilled trade, this award enables the candidate to apply for the CPCS Competent Operator Card (Blue Card).

Who Should Attend?

Candidates must have passed the CSCS Health & Safety Test (within the last 24 months) and must also hold a current, valid CPCS Trained Operative Card (Red Card) in order to begin this VQ.

Mandatory Units

 

  • Develop and Maintain Good Working Relationships
  • Supervise Lifting Activities
  • Implement, Maintain, and Review Systems for Health, Safety, Welfare, Wellbeing, and Environmental Protection
  • Co-ordinate Work Control
  • Allocate and Monitor the Use of Plant, Equipment, or Machinery
  • Maintain the Dimensional Accuracy of the Work
  • Co-ordinate Preparation for Site Operations
  • Allocate Work and Monitor People’s Performance

 

 

Knowledge

This SVQ qualification requires candidates to demonstrate their competence against a set of performance statements in a real workplace environment. Candidates will be assessed by an occupationally competent and qualified assessor, who will work with them and support them throughout the SVQ program. Successful completion of this qualification enables candidates to apply for the CPCS Blue Competent Operator Card.

To apply for the CPCS Blue Competent Operator Card, candidates must complete the Level 3 SVQ qualification.
