SVQ in Occupational Work Supervision (Construction) Level 3

Description

This is an assessment qualification. To attain the Level 3 SVQ qualification in the candidate’s chosen skilled trade, this award enables the candidate to apply for the CPCS Competent Operator Card (Blue Card).

Who Should Attend?

Candidates must have passed the CSCS Health & Safety Test (within the last 24 months) and must also hold a current, valid CPCS trained operative card (RED CARD) in order to begin this VQ.

Course Content

Mandatory Units:

  • Develop and Maintain Good Working Relationships
  • Confirm Work Activities and Resources for the Work
  • Confirm the Occupational Method of Work
  • Implement and Maintain Health, Safety, Environmental, and Welfare Practices
  • Co-ordinate and Organise Work Operations
  • Monitor Progress against Work Schedules

 

Optional (2 units required from):

  • Allocate and Monitor the Use of Plant, Machinery, Equipment, or Vehicles
  • Confirm Work Meets Contractual, Industry, and Manufacturers’ Standards
  • Implement Procedures to Support Team Performance
  • Co-ordinate and Confirm the Dimensional Requirements of the Work

 

 

Knowledge

This SVQ qualification requires candidates to demonstrate their competence against a set of performance statements in a real workplace environment. Candidates will be assessed by an occupationally competent and qualified assessor, who will work with them throughout the SVQ program. Successful completion of this qualification enables candidates to apply for the CPCS Blue Competent Operator Card.
